Who doesn’t want a camera mounted to their head as they barrel down the slopes. The only problem is that they generally cost a c-note and then some.
Or do they? The Rampant View straps to your helmet much like a pair of goggles to your head. Only instead of protecting your eyes there is a rubber casing that has been molded to fit the 5th Gen iPod Nano, you know, the one with the camera built-in. Need we say more?
So yes, you’ll need the rather pricey and now discontinued 5th gen Nano, but if you’ve already got that in pocket then you’re just $35 away from helmet cam action. We’re gonna warn you, though, the Rampant Viewer doesn’t appear to protect the front or the camera of the Nano. So if you take a spill it might cost you. Also, there is no remote starter so it will be fiddley to say the least.
