LEGO Statue Of Liberty

lego-statue-of-liberty

LEGO is at it again with a massive Statue Of Liberty set, and this one has a design that will prove to be extremely challenging, and a price to match. As you could guess, the kit is composed entirely of the same color bricks, so the entire 80-step process needs to be carefully monitored or else looking for a certain piece could prove quite frustrating. There’s 2,882 pieces in all, and it stands 2 feet, nine inches tall when completed. It’s available for for $2000.

Tsk. Thought this was about a new set, but this one's 10 years old. Maybe that's why there's no link to

It's only two grand (or 5K, depending on where you look) because it's an old, rare set that's out of production. And 5K is the just what some company is overcharging for it.

The actual price from LEGO in the year 2000 (when the set was released) was $199, which is quite a deal. Less than 10 cents per piece, for a rare color like sand green.
