This handy device was shown off at this year’s IFA by a Chinese company called Magic Bulb. It uses an LED bulb that consumes just 4 watts of power, but produces the equivalent light of a 50 watts incandescent bulb. But that’s not the best part. The bulb contains a rechargeable battery, which means in the event of a power outage the light will remain lit. And that’s not all. It can double as a flashlight thanks to the handy extendable neck.
The flashlight/bulb is expected to cost about $30-40 with a 20,000 hour lifespan (about 2.2 years).
Grew up back East, got sick of the cold and headed West. Since I was small I have been pushing buttons - both electronic and human. With an insatiable need for tech I thought "why not start a blog focusing on technology, and use my dislikes and likes to post on gadgets."
