This isn’t the first touchless paper towel dispenser that we’ve had the wonderful experience of seeing, but it is the most advanced to date. In addition to distributing paper towel at the wave of a hand, the machine can cut any length towel you need. There are two panels: the right one controls the length and the left activates the cutting mechanism – a set of LEDs detect when a hand or object has been placed in front of it. It won’t drop the towel after cutting; all you need to do is give it a slight pull.
Sure, it’s got gimmick written all over it, but it’s probably a great idea if you and your family do a ton of cooking or have a tendency to waste whole sheets of paper towel when you just need one small piece. It works with any brand of paper towel, includes under counter brackets and self sharpening blades that are said to provide a lifetime of sharp cuts.
You can pick one up for $130.
