6lb Carbon Fiber Road Bicycle Is The Lightest Ever

If you just plunked down a hefty amount of cash on what was billed as a “light weight bicycle”, you might wanna think again.
This nameless bike from Fairwheel weighs a hefty 6lbs. That’s about 9lbs lighter than most professional road racing bikes. Course, road racing bikes, in the professional sense have to be at least 15lbs to be race legal.
On board is a 10-speed rear gear, Carbon Fiber rims with titanium spokes and the quintessential front and rear brakes.
Fairwheel’s Jason Woznick says that the ultra light weight bicycle costs a mere $45,000, that is if you tried to build the bike yourself. A machine like this, which is composed of a variety of parts, is pretty much priceless.
