New Xbox 360 Controller Announced, Adjustable D-Pad (video)

The d-pad on the Xbox 360 controller has been the bain of many a gamers existences. Well, good news, Microsoft has just found a resolve.
Available this November 9th, Microsoft will release an almost all new Xbox 360 controller. The biggest change you ask? The D-pad can now be adjusted from a disc (i.e. multi-directional pad) to a strictly old school d-pad (just a plus symbol). All you need to do is rotate or turn the pad and the disc portion which supports the multi-directional component is raised or lowered. They’ve also made the analog stick a bit more concave and removed all color from the X, B, A, Y buttons – they’re now monochrome.
During initial launch the monochrome controller will only come in the Play Charge kit for $65, but we’d expect a stand alone launch after the holiday season.
