Griffin’s new PartyDock system is something really intriguing, since I didn’t even know it was possible until now. It was discovered via an FCC filing, so Griffin isn’t ready to announce it just yet. It intends to turn your iPhone, iPod Touch or iPad into a game console that’s hooked up to the TV. You simply dock the device, hook up the PartyDock to a HDTV via component or composite video, and play games with your friends via the four included controllers. What games are simultaneously multiplayer on the iPhone/iPad, you may ask? None right now, but Griffin is developing some that will be launched with the device. Let’s hope they’re really fun, or this idea might be dead in the water.
