Kondo, a Japanese robot maker, has unveiled the Kame Robotto, the world’s first turtle robot. (Kame is Japanese for turtle — the more you know…). The turtle is powered by a 10.8V-300mAh Ni-MH “Robo Power Cell”, and has nine joints of movement. If you watch the video, you can see that it gets pretty expressive for only nine joints, and is pretty cute for being made of black plastic. Best of all, you can build one for $450, but you’ll have to import it from Japan, and get the remote control elsewhere. Do it with your girlfriend! It’s like getting a dog that poops a lot less.
