Sony’s CECH-ZVS1 PS3 Sound Bar Gets A September 20th Release Date
Looks like there’s lots of PS3 news today. Remember that sound bar we wrote about at its E3 debut a couple weeks ago? Well, we’ve got some more concrete details about the CECH-ZVS1, including a September 20th release date (once again, it’s Japan only for now — sorry, folks). With a style keeping with the slim PS3′s design (including the PlayStation logo to really tie the whole thing together), this sound bar has a built-in subwoofer, S-Force PRO Front Surround Sound technology, and decoding support for Dolby digital, DTS, MPEG-2 AAC and Linear PCM audio. The aim here is to have total surround immersion out of just this little bar. At a $199 price point, let’s hope it delivers.
