Apple — 28 July 2010

Apple updated their Safari web browser to version 5.0.1 today, offering a bunch of bux fixes and improvements, the biggest of which is the opening of Apple’s Official Extension Gallery. Simply navigate to the page from the Safari menu bar to get access to a large list of extensions from companies like The New York Times and Twitter. The extensions install instantly and can be removed just as quickly. I’ve been playing around with extensions since Safari 5′s release a few weeks ago, and they bring a lot of useful functionality to Apple’s browser without cluttering things up to much.
Safari 5.0.1 is a free download for OSX & Windows from Apple.
