Rumors hit today that Apple’s next version of the iPod Touch will feature HD video recording and the FaceTime app currently featured on the iPhone 4, with a marketing focus on teens. This information makes a lot sense — the iPod Touch update comes out in September as school’s starting, and the device usually gets most of the features of that previous summer’s iPhone release. Remember that he Touch was supposed to get a 5MP camera last year, which never happened, and FaceTime is definitely something teens would be happy about. Personally, I wonder if the iPod will be getting a redesign like the iPhone’s, and whether or not the display is going to be the Retina Display or something of lesser quality. We’ve got a couple months to wait and see.
