HP Slate

Just yesterday we told you about HP’s “PalmPad” trademark, and now new details are leaking out that make this tablet even more enticing. According to the same source that leaked both the tablet’s existence and name trademarking, the “PalmPad” (a tentative title) will include digital pen support along with the capacitive touch in an effort to become a much better note-taking and content creating device than the iPad. Speaking of content — an analyst has said that HP might be choosing a widescreen form factor for the device — going against the iPad’s square design, which doesn’t work too well for movie watching. Hopefully we’ll get an announcement soon.
