Now this is a great idea. iPort debuted two new wall mount systems today for the iPad and iPod Touch, the CM100 and CM2000. Both let you use Apple’s touchscreen devices as home controllers via special App Store apps, controlling lighting, air conditioning, home theaters, and acting as a music streamers throughout your household. The Control Mounts work both vertically or horizontally thanks to the device’s reorientation feature, and you can easily remove them from the mounting devices whenever you want.
You can pick up both mounts this month. The CM100 will retail for $250 and the CM2000 for $499 .
