The W/Air is a conceptual “necklace” that removes the carbon dioxide in the air – we’re gonna go with mask, but whatever your fancy. It monitors the air quality and emits an alarm when the mask portion should be worn. The filtered CO2 is then captured and converted into battery juice, which can power a cell phone or small media device. Brazilian designers Martina Pagura and Pedro Nakazato Andrade designed the conceptual device as part of a two-week workshop on wearable, interactive responses to climate change.
