Motorola Flipout Officially Announced

Motorola has struggled over the last few years but since embracing the Android OS the company’s cell phone division is experiencing a resurgence. The DROID was cool, so was the Backflip and a few of their other handsets. But their latest, the Flipout, is more an ode to their uninspired days (plus it looks just like the Nokia Twist). Look at it. It’s a square box with a rotating screen. I may be being a bit critical but the Flipout is nothing to, well, flip out about.
From a tech stand point, though, it ain’t all that bad. We’re looking at a 2.8-inch touchscreen, 3 megapixel camera, flip out QWERTY keyboard, WiFi, a 700mhz processor, GPS and Android 2.1 skinned with Motoblur.
No US carries have picked up the phone, so you can expect it in Europe sometime soon.
