Magellan iPhone Toughcase: GPS, Backup Battery And Waterproofing
Drop your iPhone much? Run out of power on the daily? Still can’t get the GPS accuracy to match your standalone car unit? Then you probably need Magellan’s ToughCase. It provides your iPhone with waterproof housing (up to 1m for 30 minutes), a backup battery and enhanced GPS. It’s also compatible with the iPod Touch adding turn-by-directions, provided of course you buy an accompanying app. And yes, the touchscreen will still work as well as all the other iPhone features you’ve come to know and love, although Gizmodo says the line-in headphone mic won’t work.
When available it will cost $200 and we’d imagine that there will be a number of versions available for different handsets.
