LG E2350V 23-inch LCD Monitor - 1

Grew up back East, got sick of the cold and headed West. Since I was small I have been pushing buttons - both electronic and human. With an insatiable need for tech I thought "why not start a blog focusing on technology, and use my dislikes and likes to post on gadgets."

  1. “Stand lacks height and rotation adjustment”
how stupid is to say that? you are talking about a monitor that is about 2-3 kgs. just turn it around.

  2. Flatron E2350(v). Bought this flat monitor this month for $189 at SamsClub and exceeded my expectations especially due to the low price. I was not even so sure whether it works on my Ubuntu Maverick OS (Linux) but took that risk and it paid off. Graphics's excellent, text and video. Almost like having two smaller monitors together, it's a 23″. Perfect! My first LG product owned. Definitely recommend this product for those price & quality conscious!

  3. I bought one and I agree its not as bright as some of my other monitors, but I like the color and the contrast and have not noticed any issues with the text. And I do use it every day for programming, news & blog-reading, and general-purpose use. Although, typically I am not performing any significant color work such as working with photos or anything. So the colors may not be specifically *calibrated* properly, but it looks okay in general. As an adjunct monitor for my work laptop, it works pretty good. I wish it was brighter, that's my only real complaint, and maybe the stand is a little flimsy.

  4. Seems to have a blue tint to it, and the Reds compared to my LG Flatron W2361VG LCD monitor appears to have a more orangish tint. I'm going to turn my LG Flatron E2350V back in for something better. Even with calibration, I can't seem to get rid of the bluish tint. I do not recommend buying this monitor for even entry level photograph or color reproduction work. Colors are not accurate.

  6. It locks back 90 degrees so that you can take the stand off and have the monitor support itself on your desk, looks pretty good when you do.
