At first glance, HP’s new ZR30w 30-inch LCD screen looks nice, but not incredibly impressive, like a million other LCD monitors before it. But there are some specs going on here that are pretty impressive if you’re environmentally conscious. It’s got a low power consumption, and its aluminum-clad chassis is constructed out of at least 25 percent post-consumer recycled resin. Next, the monitor features an 85 percent efficient power supply, and purportedly houses a lower power panel than its predecessors.

Other more standard specs include a 2,560 x 1,600 resolution S-IPS panel, four-way ergonomic support with height adjustment, swivel, tilt, and pivot and a 3000:1 contrast ratio. On the port side, the ZR30w has a DVI port, DisplayPort, and an four-port USB hub. So if you’re in the market for a new display you can feel good about purchasing, the ZR30w might fit your needs.

Pricing and availability for the ZR30w are currently unavailable.
