yeah this is a great idea except for if you even jiggle an xbox it’ll likely break. If you’re playing it and the air hits it wrong? you’re effed.

PS3 slim user here. Just want to say, great design! already waiting for a retail version:) just want to suggest that the case itself also have external ports so it can easily be connected to a home entertainment system without the need to take the console out of the box. And please make the AC plug power both the case and the console

Saw this at E3. Since Xbox geniuses are the only ones to have a brick (including new 360) the GAEMS team needs a carry case to tote the darn thing. This case allows them to put the copntrollers and games in the same small bag. I understand their design choice and actually agree with them. Tell Microsoft to get their heads out of their butts and get rid of the brick. In the meantime, PLEASE make this for the PS3! And then you can make the PS3 plug into the case (hint hint)!

Arrgh, I've been planning something like this as a side project for over a year and a half, you guys beat me to it and it looks great! My design was definitely more rugged, but it would have cost more than $250 and had a 17″ screen. One of my biggest problems was finding a place for the power supply, what did your team do with that? Congratulations again, I would definitely buy one if I didn't already have one of my own drawn up! I'd love to get my hands on one anyways…

Just curious: Where exactly goes the power brick of the xbox 360? From what I can see the box has hardly enough space for the console, the screen and the speakers? Is the power brick located behind the screen?

The case is being redesigned to hopeully be a universal lower to allow all consoles. This is not just for XBOX but most likely for all consoles, legacy and next gen. All of the data gathered by GAEMS at E3 is being considered for the 2nd prototype and will be shown at PAX in July.

What would you suggest for the plug issue. Also, what you are looking at is prototype 1. Input from E3 and gamers will dictate final design.

It is stupid not to have the controllers in the case, and that plug right into the side it also dumb, fire the designer!
