Cell Phones Rumors — 15 June 2010

Word on rumor street is that RIM is already testing a new touchscreen phone. But that’s not all. RIM also has plans for a companion tablet device that can wirelessly (maybe) tether to a Blackberry handset to achieve a data connection. The new touchscreen phone, which we can only hope is anything but the Storm, will include Blackberry’s new OS and will boast similar touch features as the iPhone letting users swipe through screens and pinch to zoom in/out.
Yup, details are scant, but those close with the project, at least according to WSJ say the phone and tablet device will debut this September.
