Air freshener? Wrong. Cigarette lighter? Wrong again. This handy little device, called the Bringrr, plugs into your car’s cigarette lighter and when you forget to bring your cell phone with you to the vehicle it emits an auditory and visual warning. It works by pairing with your cell phone via Bluetooth.
Cool, sort of, but it does have some flaws. Do tell you ask? First off, if your garage is within 30 meters (Bluetooth’s range) of wherever your phone is, it will always be paired rendering the would be proximity sensor useless. Second, some cigarette lighters are always on, which means battery drain and unless you always have the Bringrr (we loathe the name too) plugged in it’s useless – if you can’t remember your cell phone you’re not gonna remember to power this thing up.
The Bringrr will be available mid-July for $35.
