AT&T Server Issues May Have Cost Apple The Sale Of 300,000 iPhones

iPhone 4 Blunder 1 650x388 AT&T Server Issues May Have Cost Apple The Sale Of 300,000 iPhones

If sales of last year’s iPhone, the iPhone 3Gs are any indicator, today’s blunder by AT&T and Apple may have cost them the sale of some 300k iPhones.  Last year, Apple sold 1 million iPhone 3Gses in just 3 days.  While it’s unlikely that today’s server issues will deter the majority from buying the all new handset, there will probably be a select few who will just give up and choose an Android device and perhaps even go with another carrier.  The good news is that everyone is in the same boat, at least from what we can tell, meaning that no one can buy an iPhone online; don’t expect them to sell out.  Right now the AT&T site is down for an upgrade and the Apple site says they can’t processor your order right now.  Has anyone had any success ordering an iPhone online?
