Apple Now Offering Discounted iPhone 4 Price To 3Gs Owners?
I’m on Apple’s website, punched in all my info and it says I’m eligible for the subsidized price of the iPhone 4. Odd? You bet, since I’ve only had my 3Gs for a year and a few days. Anyone else score this offer after only having their 3Gs for a year? Last I checked, when I made my reserveration before the iPhone 4 went on sale, I had to pay the full cost, $599.
No, the screen isn’t faked and I managed to get all the way to checkout where I could punch in my credit card info. This is for the 16GB version.
Update: It would seem those who were early adopters of the 3Gs might be eligible for the special pricing. Still, it’s strange that I wasn’t directly solicited with this info and that they tried to get me to pay the full price when I made a reservation.
Update 2: Also, if you spend a significant amount per month with AT&T they might bump you up to 2-year pricing.
