Tranquil, a UK based PC manufacturer (how novel!) has announced via their blog two new HPTCs. The T7-MP2 runs on an Atom CPU and NVIDIA’s Ion GPU for smooth HD playback, with HDMI output for connecting it to your big fancy HDTV. It supports up to 1TB storage, as well.
The second unit, the ixVL, will come with either a Core i3 or i5 CPU, a fanless design for quiet cooling, HDMI output, and an optional Blu-ray drive, all in a chassis constructed of “thick black aluminum extrusions.”
The T7-MP2 is available in June for around $700. The ixVL pricing is currently unavailable.
