Sylvania MusicLite Wirelessly Pumps Tunes Through A Common Light Socket

Much like Klipsch, who earlier this year announced their Lightspeaker, Sylvania has got their own version, the MusicLite. For the most part were looking at the same product but instead of a speaker company making a light, a light company is making a speaker.
A 10-watt cluster of LEDs emits the equivalent of a 65-watt light bulb, while a 25-watt speaker pumps out your tunes. And much like the Klipsch Light Speaker, The Musiclite fits in most recessed lighting, although I’m sure they’ll offer an attachment for bedside lamps and those of the same ilk. And yes, a wireless audio transmitter, which is good up to 90 feet, is included.
Right now there is no word on a price, but I’d expect it to be on par with Klipsch’s version, which costs $600 for two lights, remote and transmitter. Expect the Musiclite to arrive in stores some time this fall.
