Moshi’s Mini DisplayPort To HDMI Adapter Makes Your MacBook The Ultimate HPTC

Just yesterday, I wanted to hook my aluminum MacBook Pro to my HDTV via HDMI input and watch some Netflix Instant Watch. I thought I could connect my Mini DisplayPort to DVI adapter to a HDMI/DVI cable I had lying around. Guess what? It didn’t work. So I needed the right cable — no big deal. Except Apple doesn’t make an official cable for Mini DisplayPort to HDMI. So I was happy to learn that Moshi went and made one themselves.

The cable transmits both audio and video at 1080p resolution, and every Apple laptop that features the Mini DisplayPort is great at smooth HD playback. The cable’s aluminum casing reduces EM (electro-magnetic) interference, in addition to fitting the aesthetic of the MBP. Apple likes the product enough that they’re selling it in the Apple Store. What more can you ask for?

The Moshi Mini DisplayPort to HDMI adapter is available now for $35.

I bought a similar product over the weekend and had no problems with my Mac Mini. Did you restart the machine and made sure the HDMI cable is ok?

I had trouble getting audio, it worked on my comp, but not through the TV as I would have hoped, do I have to restart in order for it to work?
