London’s Routemaster Double Decker Buses Refreshed With Hybrid Version

London’s streets are about to have a whole new look.  Well, actually new buses, which are set to replace the recently cancelled Routemaster and will arrive as early as 2011 with a full roll out hitting in 2012.  So what makes these buses special?  They’re hybrids and are 15% more efficient than current hybrids and use 40% less energy than a standard diesel double decker.   Aside from the fuel improvements we’re really digging the curved lines and excessive amount of glass.  Too bad LA’s buses can’t look this swank.
