Gadget Rumor: Refreshed Macbook Announcement Coming This Month
Okay folks, here’s some more Apple news for you to soak up until April 8th hits. Apple will release, or perhaps just announce, updates for their Macbook line of computers, at least according to a translated Taiwanese newspaper Apple Daily.
The report states that the updates were set to occur in March, but due to a shortage of Intel chips had to be pushed back. Does this mean a speed increase? I’d say so. Additionally, Apple will bump all Macbook hard drives to 640GB and slap them with the same 8 hour battery currently found in select Macbook models.
In all likelihood, Apple will announce these update on April 8th or shortly after and then issue the actual product for purchase in June, which is when we usually see a product refresh. Though, Apple has long avoided large gaps in announcement to product availability, so maybe we’ll see the updated laptops sooner than later.
Of note, perhaps Apple will officially announce that 27-inch LED display we heard about along with updates for their Mac Pro line.
