It might look like your standard QWERTY keypad but it ain’t, I can assure you of that, as can the below video. Pelikon’s Morphpad, which is targeted at OEM handset manufactures, can switch from QWERTY to a numeric keypad just by rotating the device 90 degrees. But the morphing doesn’t stop there. The keypad can transform into a gaming pad just by rearranging the backlighting of the keys as well as double as a giant touchpad for a computer.
Who knows when, how and whom it will come to market. Perhaps the next iteration will include an e-ink display, much like the Samsung Alias 2.
