Mapquest Updates iPhone App, Adds Free Turn-by-turn Directions
Google threw the GPS industry on its head when they announced free turn-by-turn directions for their Android mapping application. Now, Mapquest is following suit and has updated their free iPhone app to include the same feature. And get this, if you miss a turn the app will automatically reroute you with the push of a button. I have yet to use it, but I have high hopes.
So this begs the question: when Google will update their Google Maps application on the iPhone to include the same features as found on the Android platform? If Mapquest can do it and get approved I don’t see why Google can’t.
