Remember Cowon’s J3 MP3 player that we told you about a few weeks ago?  Well, at the time the details, which were few and far between, came by way of a design award’s website.  But today the company finally got official with the PMP.

So what can we expect?  A 3.3-inch OLED touchscreen with 16 million colors, FM radio, G-sensor, Bluetooth with A2DP support, built-in speaker, TV out, voice recorder, flash compatibility and a T-DMB TV tuner.  The player, which probably will never make its way beyond the shores of South Korea, will be available in 4, 8, 16 and 32GB capacities and have a battery that supports up to 64 hours of music playback or 11 hours of video.

There’s no word on a price, but the J3 will launch in South Korea later this month.

I saw some other sites which claims that this will have wi-fi, but, I'll tell you this, I just talked to an engineer over at Cowon about this unit, and while I didn't specifically ask about wi-fi, I am quite certain he would have mentioned it. I did confirm that there WILL be a microSD slot, for sure, and that the selection of audio/video codecs that are supported on this unit is “vastly more generous than the S9″.
