Puma Phone
Today, Puma (yes, the clothing company) announced their entrance into the cell phone market with the Puma Phone. It’s built by Sagem and includes a proprietary UI that doesn’t look too shabby.
Spec wise were looking at a 2.8-inch touchscreen, 3.2 megapixel camera with an LED flash, aGPS, FM radio, compass, HSPA connectivity and a solar panel for those clutch charging moments. Puma has also taken great strides to build an OS that should appeal to their existing customer base and includes a pedometer, a number of applications for runners and bicyclists (distance, speed, etc), as well as a media player that features a virtual turn table that lets you spin and scratch your music.
The Puma phone will first arrive in Europe in 46 days, while America and other locations will follow shortly after. No carrier or price has been announced at this time.
