Grew up back East, got sick of the cold and headed West. Since I was small I have been pushing buttons - both electronic and human. With an insatiable need for tech I thought "why not start a blog focusing on technology, and use my dislikes and likes to post on gadgets."

  1. Regarding the complaint about the L5: Why would it need to be in your pocket, when you're controlling your products? My expectation is that users would attach the dongle when needed, and disconnect when not (kinda like the expected use of the RedEye Mini).

Bought one earlier today. It will learn the buttons for the Scientific Atlanta (Rogers Cable, Newmarket Canada) but it doesn’t seem to transmit them, even after soft and hard restarts. Hope the app gets updated fast.

  4. Don’t bother looking. I bought one at the Apple Store, and the product is barely functional. Wait for the Re coming out in a few weeks if you want a true universal remote with built in IR codes so you can replace missing remotes and quickly set up all of your devices. It has activities, macros, favorites lists and works on a touch as well as the iPhone.

  5. I have been looking for this case since Tuesday and have not found it or anything confirming its release. Any links would be great.

  6. You mean to tell me that I spent $35 for a protective case only and can now spend only $25 more and get a universal remote built in? AWESOME! I think I be fine programming the buttons I want to use…I’m ok with “learning”
Can’t wait to pick this up!
