I just moved houses and putting aside the decorating and furniture buying, lighting a place properly can be an agonizing experience.  The Philips Living Color light, now on its second iteration, is now available for purchase for $200 from Hammacher and Amazon.  It can produce over 16 million colors using 7 LEDs and an includes a remote with an Apple like color wheel that lets you blast through a wide array of colors, hues and brightnesses.  And because it uses LEDs it can operate off 3 AAA batteries or the good old wall socket.
