Bluetooth Cell Phones — 04 January 2010

The ZOMM, as the manufacturer so elegantly put it, is a ‘wireless leash’ for you cell phone. Just pair the device to your phone’s Bluetooth and when it wonders out of proximity an alarm sounds notifying you of your absent minded ways. All the while it can also double as a call notifier, some sort of panic alarm and a speakerphone. The ZOMM is about the diameter of a poker chip, which should make it suitable for purses and key chains. Battery life is spec’d at 3 days, which ain’t bad, but if you forget to charge it you might end up forgetting your cell phone. There’s no word on price but it’s expected to go on sale in Q2 of this year.
