Just after seeing a really cool Splinter Cell Conviction CES demo and being reassured that it would make its February 26th release date comes news today that it is again delayed. This time until April. SCC has already seen previous delays and while this two month plus stretch isn’t as bad as another year could have been, it’s still weak.
Patrick Redding, the Multiplayer lead had this to say:
“I definitely do [think reviews will be worth the delays],” he said. “We have a lot of stake in Splinter Cell as a brand and the one thing I think we agree on internally is that no one wants to be the team that sinks the franchise.”
I agree. I have enjoyed Splinter Cell games more than Metal Gear Solid’s and I would hate to see something fatal happen to my main man Sam Fisher.
