Let me just preface this post by stating that Klipsch’s Lightspeakers are “not intended to replace home theater speakers”.  The reason for the quotes you ask?  Because that’s verbatim to what Klipsch has on their product page.

So what the hell are these things?  Speakers and a light bulb all in one, dummy.  Yup, you screw the speakers into any 5 or 6-inch light socket and they’ll wirelessly blast out music transmitted from your PC.  Inside, aside from the 20 watt speakers, is a fully dimmable LED bulb that is rated for up to 15 years of use that will supposedly reduce your lighting expense by up to 80%, for those two bulbs that is.

Included in the $599 package, in addition to the two speakers (each additional one is $249), is a remote and transmitter that can wirelessly send your tunes to up to 8 Kilpsch Lightspeakers.
