Just Cause was one of those games that had great promise.  Like Assassin’s Creed, it was a gorgeous and giant world, but ultimately vacuous and boring.  Attempting to alleviate the pitfalls found in the 1st iteration, Just Cause 2 is looking pretty tight.

Word coming down from Square Enix is that the PS3 version of Just Cause 2 will have a feature that will enable you upload gameplay replays onto YouTube.  Since some of the best action in these type of games is often so random and non-periodic, it will be nice to show others what kind of carnage you’ve been up to.

There are two ways in which this works:  One is a selectable feature that effectively captures 30 seconds of footage while you’re playing in case something hectic happens.  The footage is then stored to your hard drive.  The other way to do it is to set-up a 10 minute capture.  This way if you have something more planned out, you can get the footage that you’re looking for.  That information will also be stored on the PS3′s hard drive.

No exact info on how the footage actually gets to YouTube, but it will be cool to learn more about this feature as we get closer to the game’s release date.
