As products that you jam an iPhone into continue to grow and mutate, the iTamTam from French designers Branex is quite the beastly monstrosity. Weighing in at just under 11.5 pounds, each iTamTam has four 1.5-inch tweeters with 10W of maximum power handling and a 5.25-inch subwoofer rated at 80W max. The tweeters are just underneath the seat and the sub woofer is located at the base of the stool.
At first glance I thought this was a cocktail table that docked an iPod. If it was that, I would have thought it might have been cool Since it isn’t that, I don’t know what the hell this thing is. The location of the dock itself is extremely precarious and coupled with the fact that it costs $570, I’m glad I missed this at CES. Available soon in the US in a variety of colors.
