This little gizmo is a total DIY project, but if you’re like me and don’t have the patience, skills or time it’s the perfect solution…for knowing how many pieces of snail mail you’ve received in your inbox. Say what? I don’t know how mail delivery works in Japan, but here in the US they open the box with a master key and stuff in all your mail at once, not one piece at a time.

Included in the package are two pieces: a transmitter that features a small lever that when flicked sends a signal to the receiver with an LED display depicting how many pieces of mail have been received.
Wow, file this one under crap gadget.
