If you are having trouble deciding whether to smile, frown, or gasp, then let this weird-ass USB emoticon ball decide for you.  Once you plug it in, it apparently recognizes incoming emoticons from whoever you are IM’ing and makes the appropriate face given the nature of the conversation/emoticon.

This mellow yellow fellow also makes noises and says stuff and hooks up to a microphone for more deranged fun.  Just below is a really strange video that left me scratching my head.

Interesting idea, but who would really want to devote a USB port to this?  A gag gift idea for sure, I can only imagine the parody video that someone is making about this right now.  In this tight economy I’m sure you can find reason to buy this.  On sale now for $29.
