For nefarious or innocent use, either way Sony’s Party-shot camera accessory is pretty darn neat. It mounts to virtually any tripod, and combined with the DSC-WX1 and DSC-TX1 Cyber-shot digital cameras announced yesterday, it’s able to automatically take candid photos.
It works by utilizing the aforementioned camera’s BIONZ image processor with its Face Detection and Smile Shutter features. It then pans 360 degrees and tilts 24 degrees to automatically capture smiling candid picture for up to 11 hours on two AA batteries.
The Sony Party-shot camera accessory will go on sale this September for $150.
