Slim PS3 Now Available For Pre-Order At Amazon, $299.99

Without a moment of hesitation, Amazon has already posted the pre-order page for the Slim Playstation 3.  So before you rush out and grab a discounted Fat PS3, you might wanna consider the feather weight version since it costs the same amount ($299.99) and includes a larger, 120GB hard drive.  Currently, they’re limiting the total amount of Slim PS3s that can be purchased to 1 per household.

    This new iteration doesn’t just attract the attention of not-yet PS3 owners, it also captivates the interests of those who already own a PS3. A new slim, redesigned model for $299 is worth the price and challenges Microsoft’s Xbox 360, which until now was cheaper. Given this new iteration, Sony may see a very different future for the PS3 than they were probably expecting with poor sales.
