Gaming Playstation 3 — 21 August 2009

Arrrg. Just when I thought there would be no reason for me to need a PS3 Slim comes news of a way tighter audio spec included in the updated system. I am still rocking my Onkyo 6.1 system with no HDMI inputs but I always appreciate higher audio standards and I am excited to help announce that the PS3 Slim will support Dolby TrueHD and DTS-HD Master Audio formats. This means that Blu-Ray audio will be “lossless” and totally lavish. This also means that you will need to get your home theater system in check in order to truly enjoy all that these formats have to offer.
