Nokia officially unveiled the lurid (kidding) details of their N900 “mobile computer” today. That’s right, they’re calling it a computer, not a phone. Thanks to Mobile-review and Mobile Crunch we’ve already been familiarized with its specs, but since we’ve got them on the official, let’s rehash them, shall we?
We’re looking at a 3.5-inch 800×400 touchscreen, GPS with OVI maps, 5 megapixel camera with auto focus and dual LED flash, TV out, music player (compatible with wav, .mp3, .AAC, .eAAC, .wma, .m4a), FM transmitter, DLNA compatible, full QWERTY keyboard, 32GB of storage, microSD card slot, Bluetooth, 1320mAh battery, 3.5mm headphone jack and a TI OMAP 3430: ARM Cortex-A8 600 MHz processor. OS wise it will be running Maemo, a Linux based system and include support for a Mozilla based web browser as well as Adobe Flash.
According to Nokia they will put this bad boy on sale in the EU for €500 ($718 US) sometime in October. That’s a shit load of money, but that’s before any carrier subsidies or discounts.
