You know what they say, necessity is the mother of all invention. So it’s no surprise that when Guitar Hero 5 launches later this year the Wii (it lacks significant storage options) version will be the first game ever to access content, on the fly, from the SD card slot. And now that the SDHC cards are compatible, up to 32GB, Guitar Hero fans will be able to transfer all their previous songs, for a small fee mind you, to an SD card enabling them to access their entire Guitar Hero library without any significant loading times or disc changes. And since Guitar Hero brings with it a vast array of different titles as part of their DLC, Activision says that a 32GB SDHC card can hold up to 800 songs.
Guitar Hero 5 is set to launch on September 1st.
