Gadget Rumor: Is This The Macbook Touch Splash Page?

macbook-touch

Is this truly the splash page for the impending Macbook Touch? No one knows for sure but there are a few hints to indicate otherwise.  The URL string lists Apple.com as opposed to Apple.com/macbooktouch.  The ‘T’ in touch looks a bit odd, as if its a smaller font then the rest of the letters.  Lastly, the source cites no source for the photo leading me to believe that it is shameless self promotion.

Seems pretty fake to me. the URL gives it away, but also I don’t think “iPhone Apps & OS X living in perfect harmony” would be the tag line.

From a few minute glance at this concept you can see a few things that indicate its fake:
      1) It says “Watch the TV ad”, there is no TV ad at all and it hasnt been leaked on to the interent
      2) Apple wouldnt just use the exact same layout they used for the appstore and video, they obviously create a new one.
      3) They wouldnt use the iPhone dock, they would use the mac os x dock.
      4) In the dock there is an iphone/ipod touch icon. What would that be for? They would have itunes or the ‘iPod’/'music’ they used on the iphone/ touch.
      5) The picture of the actual machine is just a stretched iphone 3g

And the rumors that say it can fit in an iMac, thats just retarded, there trying to say that its the size of a cd in height.
Overall its pretty good, theyve obviously put alot of time in and its a good concept.
I personaly think the idea of a macbook touch is brilliant, im debating on getting a macbook pro now or waiting for apple to release a statement on this.
