Sony Japan is set to introduce their latest GPS nav system, the NV-U3DV. Although it will never hit the US, you can expect a 6.1-inch touchscreen LCD, 4GB of storage and apparently a myriad of gesture controls. For those that frequently travel in tunnels or through underpasses, Sony has embedded the GPS with Position+ G, a new technology that detects changes in direction using an accelerometer, gyro-sensor, and pressure sensor. Those in the Japanese market will be able to receive TV broadcasts on the device as well as play their own stored movies, pictures and music. Sony’s NV-U3DV GPS will arrive this August and cost Y65,000 (about $685 US).
Grew up back East, got sick of the cold and headed West. Since I was small I have been pushing buttons - both electronic and human. With an insatiable need for tech I thought "why not start a blog focusing on technology, and use my dislikes and likes to post on gadgets."
