Gadget Rumor: Sony Ericsson C905 Launch Date On AT&T

Wow, it’s taken like forever for Sony Ericsson’s C905 to hit US shores (it’ll be the C905a), but now it appears that the 8 megapixel phone is finally here, well almost. The rumorville says it will debut on the AT&T network on July 19th. Price is still unknown but this does appear to be the carrier’s first 8 megapixel shooter. I wonder if this version will include a 2GB microSD card? Nonetheless, you’ll get a 2.4-inch scratch resistant screen, Xenon flash, face detect and a whole mess of other camera phone features.

I went to an AT&T store a couple days ago. The employee there told me that there are new phones coming in on the 18th, but she did not know whether this was one of them or not.

Further, at another AT&T store, the employee told me that the phone is listed on the price sheet with a rebate, and she told me that when the rebate shows up on the price sheet, it is close to being available.

This is incredibly old. The phone has already been released. My friend got one. It’s cool but I cba getting it.

I dont think I have ever seen SE market a high end phone well in the US market. They really like to announce high end phones release them in Non US markets and never really get US carrier backing. CyberShot seems like a great Camera but a dated phone. By the fall Samsung will have likely released a camera phone that will be just as good as the Cybershot.
