While everyone has been eagerly anticipating the arrival the LG BL40, the newest and hippest in the Chocolate series, a smaller less feature heavy handset has emerged from the company.

The BL42, which is much more of the same ilk as previous Chocolate phones features a touch sensitive directional pad that slides down to reveal a keypad.  The screen is 240 x 320 while the back of the phone sports a 5 megapixel camera.  There is still no word on pricing or availability, but expect it to have 3G connectivity and a Java based OS.
